Banks is one of the hundreds of individuals - most of them African-American men - who were tortured by Chicago police until they confessed to crimes they hadn’t committed. Many were incarcerated for decades ...

My dad was too white to go to residential school. But I wouldn't be surprised if he was told the same 3 things in his childhood, thanks to his horrible mother and being raised on the other side of the tracks. From what little he shared it sounded bad enough.

The enemy of our souls hates it when people discover who God created us to be, which is unique! He loves "masses" and "conformity", but at the same time divides over the most superficial things, like skin color... Look, we all came from one couple, Adam and Eve. When we realize that, it's easy to love one's neighbor. We're all one big family. I'm proud of this girl for her courage!

I appreciate your videos, pictures of artifacts and written stories very much. It taught me what my mother must have gone through. No wonder she wasn't assertive, she was taught not to be. However, she was wise, savvy , patient and supportive. It has taken me years of recollection to realize that. Now I'm grateful as I can give it to the world 🦋

What i'd like to know is why did i get cancer? Twice?? DCIS & malignant melanoma? Yea sure i did tan years ago but i thought my diet was pretty healthy.. probably too much white (bleached) sugar. & swimming in chlorinated pools for about 50 years. I guess the medical establishment will never promote how to prevent cancer. Probably because if people stopped getting cancer, alot of other people would be out of a job.

I am so sorry. I am a christian, and hearing these stories makes me question which god the people running residential schools worshipped. It was genocide, and we cannot sugar coat it. The church has not done enough in terms of apologizing or reconciliation for the atrocities it committed. I don't have a huge voice, but I don't want this topic to be brushed off by my church, at all. I am so sorry.

I really like this video because it brings a multiplicity of concepts of what art means, each one with it's own story and perspective, and still, all of them are valid and meaningful. This itself makes clear the converging concept of art being a mean to express what can't be expressed otherwise.

Never forgive and never forget, as psychopaths are just waiting for it to continue. They dont feel fear in general, just if they get it back 10x more, they become angsious. Only than they step back. I am white and I say it with all of my rich experiuence- expose it and never forgive. Will spread it arround! Pls open comments to other videos. Dont take away the possibility for people to participate at your destiny and give you their emphatie. Lot of love to all of you. Dont loose your roots!

Machi manitou moneyawak. North America Nihiyaw askiy kakikiy. Awas moneyawak mikiwam! In English, the invaders language. The greedy ones are sent by the devil. North America is REDMAN’S land forever. Go home greedy ones (pink skinned people). Now do the English invaders understand what a peace treaty is? Do we? Has any land ever been surrendered? No. Why are the real Canadians not profiting from the distribution of their own resources? Is a border imaginary? Yes. Is their such thing as “Canada” or “United States”? No! It’s one land mass and it’s nihiyiyaw land! Always was. We been here for infinity! Always will be!
